NPS vs UPS APP: Project Update

I started building my first micro asset on 10 July.

It’s been 19 days and I haven’t posted anything after that. I feel like I should give a public update about the status of the project.

Also, I feel like I should be more active on the social web.

So today, I sat down to update you all about what I’ve been up to last few days and what I’m planning to bring on this blog in the next few weeks.

First, a quick project update

In my launch post, I already showed you that the dominant search intent behind the top keyword in my niche is informational.

People basically search for specific information according to their personal needs.

They search it, find it and (mostly) move on.

Here’re an example search –

So, my audience is basically looking for –

  • Tools like calculators, excel sheets etc.
  • Detailed information about schemes, features, benefits etc.
  • How to guides, PDF forms for switching schemes etc.
  • Peer review/opinion about their portfolio.

A lot of such information is already available for free.

It’s difficult to convert such an audience used to getting free stuff into paying for a service.

Unless I make an irresistible offer

I’ll write a separate post on how to make an irresistible offer soon.

For now, here’s what I’ve been doing the last few days –

  1. I dug really deep into the emotional desires that are driving these searches.
  2. Make a list of such desires.
  3. Design my offer as THE ONLY OFFER that can fulfill those desires.

That’s the theory.

Wait.

I know theories are boring. I also know that people seldom act on them.

I don’t want 100 Micro Assets project to be yet another boring theoritical blog. In fact, I want every post here to be packed with actionable steps that you can copy immediately.

But, it takes time to write such posts.

So…

Here’s the rough roadmap for next few weeks of 100 Micro Assets

At present, I’m working on the following posts –

  • How to create offers (that make your customers drool over your product)
  • How to unearth commercial intent from informational keywords (with a little AI help)

I’m also writing the following posts directly related to my first micro asset project –

  • I tried Bolt, V0, Lovable and Replit for building my first micro asset. You’ll be shocked to know what I picked finally!
  • I don’t know how to code. Yet I built and launched my first app in 7 days. Here’s my step by step process for you to copy.
